Post-Production Internship - Spring 2025

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Phelps Creative House is looking for an aspiring video editor to fill our Spring Post-Production Internship position. This person will play an active role creating content on a wide spectrum of video projects for Phelps Creative House and our clients. The internship will use skills ranging from video editing, media management, and production assistance. The position is paid at a rate of $15/hr.
Position Details
Responsibilities
The Post-Production Intern will work with the Director of Post-Production, Post + Production Specialist, and Production + Art Manager during all phases of the video production process. This will include editing, gathering, and managing assets/content, creating motion graphics assets, and using Adobe CC software to produce rough-cut and finished packages for Phelps Creative House and its clients.
Qualifications
Experience and understanding of Adobe CC Premiere Pro
Familiarity with the basics of Photoshop and After Effects is a bonus (but not required)
Understanding of converting digital video and ingesting media for editing
Understanding of the Mac OSX operating system
Candidates should be able to work in both a team environment and independently as well
All candidates must be able to provide their own transportation to and from the internship
All candidates must be eligible to work in the US and be at least 18 years old
All candidates must be available from Mid-January though Early May 2025 (exact start and end dates are flexible)
Must be able to commit 15-25 hours of work a week during this time (flexible scheduling is available)
Preferred Qualifications
Undergrad Junior or Senior-level standing - or comparable experience
